Elephant"s Trunk Nebula

The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust within the much larger ionized gas region IC 1396 located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth. The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is now thought to be a site of star formation, containing several very young (less than 100,000 yr) stars that were discovered in infrared images in 2003. This image consists of a total of 14hrs and 29min of exposure over 2 nights. This is made up of the following individual frames:
Red 15 x 60s
Green 15 x 60s
Blue 15 x 60s
Sii 67 x 240s
Ha 69 x 240s
Oiii 70 x 240s
I processed this image in the SHO Hubble pallet and integrated the RGB stars into the final image.
I took the images from my backyard observatory using an Astro-Tech AT130EDT telescope with a focal length 910mm. I used the ZWO ASI 294MM Pro camera and Antlia LRGB and Narrowband filters. All process using PixInsight.
