LBN529 is a diffuse nebula in the constellation Cepheus, within a larger nebula complex containing emission, reflection, and dark nebulosity. It is widely known as the Cave Nebula, though that name was applied earlier to Ced 201, a different nebula in Cepheus. It is approximately 2400 light years from Earth. This image consists of a total of 16hrs and 40min of exposure over 2 nights. This is made up of the following individual frames:
Red 20 x 30s
Green 20 x 30s
Blue 20 x 30s
Sii 65 x 300s
Ha 65 x 300s
Oiii 64 x 300s
I processed this image in the SHO Hubble pallet and integrated the RGB stars into the final image.
I took the images from my backyard observatory using an Astro-Tech AT130EDT telescope with a focal length 910mm. I used the ZWO ASI 294MM Pro camera and Antlia LRGB and Narrowband filters. All process using PixInsight.
