The Eastern Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus.
It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop, a supernova remnant, many portions of which have acquired their own individual names and catalogue identifiers. It is located 2400 light years from Earth. This image consists of a total of 12hrs and 40min of exposure taken over two nights. This is made up of the following individual frames:
Red 20 x 30s
Green 20 x 30s
Blue 20 x 30s
Sii 47 x 300s
Ha 48 x 300s
Oiii 51 x 300s
I processed this image in the SHO Hubble pallet and integrated the RGB stars into the final image.
I took the images from my backyard observatory using an Astro-Tech AT130EDT telescope with a focal length 910mm. I used the ZWO ASI 294MM Pro camera and Antlia LRGB and Narrowband filters. All process using PixInsight.
