NGC 4565 (Captured 4/6/26)
NGC 4565 (aka the Needle Galaxy) is an edge on spiral galaxy located in the constellation Coma Berenices. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1785. It is know as the needle galaxy for its narrow profile and is about 38 million light-years from Earth.

The image consists of 72 Luminance, 72 Red, 72 Green and 71 Blue two minute exposures and 32 five minute Ha exposures for a total integration of 11 hours and 29 minutes. I processed the images using PixInsight and Adobe Photoshop software. I used my Astro-Tech AT130-EDT telescope, with a focal length of 910mm, a ZWO 2600MM astronomy camera, Antlia LRGB filters . I used the Orion Short-Tube 80 guide scope and ZWO 220MM Mini guide camera all atop the iOptron CEM70AW telescope mount.
